THE SIX SACRED ITEMS THAT DEFINE A MAJOR REPAIR OR ALTERATION.

"Major alteration means an alteration not listed in the aircraft, aircraft engine
or propeller specifications THAT MIGHT AFFECT:
1. W & B
2. Structural Strength
3. Performance
4. Power Plant operation
5. Flight Characteristics
6. Qualities affecting airworthiness or is not done according to accepted
practices or cannot be done by elementary operations."

Notice that it does not have a period after the word “specifications”.
Therefore the idea that if it is a required item for the airplane but is not listed
in the TCDS makes it a major alteration is DEAD WRONG.
Because it also has to have appreciable affect on one or more of the six
items listed above.

Furthermore it does not say that making a repair or alteration better then
original "IS A MAJOR ALTERATION". Clearly then if one is competent in
the English language, by making something better does not necessarily
affect any of the SIX items above.
